Roving
CENTRAL GLASS FIBER ROVING is a product made by consolidating together with binder a prescribed numberof glass fiber strands each made up of several hundred glass filaments respectively in diametersof from 10 to 24 microns, and winding them up in parallel without twist.
It's surface is treated to suit the resin and molding method to be used, and it is classified in accordance with its applications.
Uses
Varieties of cylindrical molded products and pipes are made with this roving inthe pultrusion moldingand filament winding methods. Also, bathtubs, all sorts of tanks and boats are produced in the spray-up and preformed molding methods. Further, corrugated sheets, safety helmets, chairs,
automobile parts, etc. are made in the corrugated sheet continuous molding method, and the BMC and SMC molding methods.
